Xavier College is proud to celebrate the success of the Class of 2017 on this year’s outstanding VCE results, with a marked increase in the percentage of scores above 95.
Duces Daniel Crowley and Michael Culvenor both received ATAR scores of 99.90, placing them amongst the top performers in the State.
Daniel, who received a perfect score of 50 for English, and Michael, who scored an exceptional score of 49 in Physics, sit amongst an impressive set of results for 2017.
Perfect study scores of 50 were achieved by our students in English, Australian History, Legal Studies, Mathematical Methods and Texts and Traditions.
On a particular note, Year 11 student Harry Amad received a perfect score of 50 for Mathematical Methods.
Overall, nine students attained an ATAR of more than 99 (top 1% in the State). Among them, Nicholas Chan will become Xavier’s 2017 recipient of the Ob Insigne Meritum Award with an ATAR of 99.85.
Xavier has seen some notable improvements in 2017, with 41 students having achieved an ATAR above 95, situating them amongst the top performing 5% VCE students.
As an academically inclusive school, there is much to be proud of with this achievement.
