Demolition and Earthworks Commencement

Our building project works on the Senior Campus are starting to escalate with the commencement of demolition and earthworks on site.  Many of the hard pavement and asphalt areas have now been pulled up and continue to be removed from site. Most of the tree removal works have been completed as well.

The photos below show these earthworks with the stripping of the grass from the Chapel Oval.

Significantly, the commencement of the earthworks will mean a large increase in truck movements on site.

As from Monday 16 May 2022, there will be truck movements from site to Barkers Road continuously.  During pick up and drop off, IBC will look to keep this section of road open, however, parents and staff are encouraged to use Charles Street entrance.

If there is significant congestion or safety concerns the access from Barkers Road will be closed, but every attempt will be made to keep this open during peak times.

Again, we ask for your patience and understanding as we progress this next exciting phase in the redevelopment of the College.
