Live music flourishes at Xavier College. Our Senior School students have access to over 30 different ensembles ranging from Percussion and Guitar Ensembles to Symphony Orchestra, Choirs and Jazz Bands. Singing is a very big part of our school culture, with a vibrant liturgical singing program adding to the lustre of performances at Mass, Assemblies and at Concerts.
Senior Music
Individual lessons are available across a wide range of instruments, with different academic pathways available for our students. Our classroom program covers song writing, performance, improvisation and digital DJ-ing.
Our active performance calendar celebrates musical excellence and offers students the chance to share their talents with the wider Xavier community. In recent years, students have embarked on national and international tours including Spain and Portugal (2019), Sydney (2023) and the USA (2024). In 2025, our musicians performed in Austria and Germany - continuing Xavier’s proud tradition of music that reaches well beyond the classroom.
