Facilities & Building Program

At Xavier College, we are passionate about maintaining and developing teaching, learning and living environments that fully support educational outcomes, nurture our spiritual journey and inspire us to be the best version of ourselves.

Our buildings are comprised of both stunningly restored historical spaces and state of the art, architectural designed learning spaces that help us to achieve our learning goals.

Xavier College continues to undergo an unprecedented transformation of our campuses and built form environments. This continues to be an exciting period in our proud history.

In 2019, the College completed its new Strategic PlanXC150

In 2020, Xavier announced a key restructure of the College, centred across two campuses and the strategic shift of moving Years 7 and 8 to the Senior Campus.

Consequently, a comprehensive Master Plan was developed and endorsed that provided the development blueprint for the College into the foreseeable future. Encompassing the entire footprint of the College, the Master Plans for the Junior School and the Senior School ensure that the strategic vision for Xavier is aligned with the purposeful development of the College's facilities. More details on the Xavier Master Plan can be found at the bottom of this page.

Our Current Building Program

In 2024, the new state-of the-art Kostka Building for Years 7 and 8 students has been completed – on time and on budget. The precinct also includes a carpark and new changing facilities under the Chapel Oval.

It is a massive investment in an exceptional facility, that will provide outstanding opportunities for our Year 7 and 8 students to shine.

Positioned on the northern boundary of Xavier's magnificent grounds, the 'Kostka' building sits in an idyllic location overlooking the pristine sports grounds to the CBD beyond.

The following video provides an overview of the recently opened state-of-the-art Year 7&8 Kostka Building.

The building is an architectural masterpiece, both aesthetically stunning with the warmth of its timber construction and its numerous sustainable features prominent, but also exemplary in its design principles that place student care and contemporary learning at the forefront.

These photographs of the stunning Kostka Building illustrate its leading design principles.

The following examples of time-lapse footage and these images also capture the construction of the entire Kostka Precinct.

This project commences the entire transformation of the Senior School at Xavier.

Our Future Building Program

Xavier is currently re-imagining many further areas and facilities on our two beautiful campuses.

Senior School Projects

We expect that our next project (Rigg Wing Refurbishment) will bring the development of more contemporary learning spaces in the academic core of the Senior School.

This will also enable the College to provide more of our new House pastoral spaces as the home for all of our senior students from Years 9-12.

More details on the Rigg Wing project will be released soon.
