Celebrating our Creative Arts

October 16, 2026

An impressive collection of student work across Art, Drama, Media and Visual Communication Design was celebrated at this year’s Creative Arts Festival. EHPAC once again became a vibrant exhibition space, showcasing the creativity, imagination and dedication of Xavier students.

One of the highlights of the evening was seeing students proudly share their work with family and friends, discussing their ideas, inspirations and creative processes. The festival provided an opportunity to recognise the many hours of commitment invested in each piece. For many students, it was their first experience exhibiting their work in a professional setting. The excitement and sense of accomplishment throughout the gallery were evident.

Our Arts Prefect, Stephen, expertly guided the evening as Master of Ceremonies, while Arts Captains Nicholas, Ned, Ari and Julian reflected on the significant role the Arts have played in their Xavier journey. Their thoughtful insights and enthusiastic leadership were greatly appreciated, and we thank them for their contributions throughout the year.

We also extend our gratitude to the talented Music staff and students whose performances created a welcoming atmosphere for guests as they explored the exhibition. Our senior Drama students added another dimension to the evening through engaging monologues that captivated audiences and enriched the experience.

Xavier is fortunate to have a passionate team of Arts educators and technicians who continually encourage students to explore, create and grow. The VCE works on display represented far more than completed assessments; they were the culmination of months of experimentation, planning, problem-solving, collaboration, practice and refinement. Collectively, they demonstrated the depth of creative thinking and artistic inquiry that thrives within our Arts community.

Thank you to all the staff and students who attended the evening, and congratulations to our award recipients.
