Xavier College students receive Premier's VCE Awards

Congratulations to our Premier's VCE Awards recipients.

These prestigious awards recognise Victoria's highest-achieving VCE students in individual studies. Students who achieve a study score of 46 or above may be considered, with recipients selected through a statewide order of merit based on their Graded Assessment scores. The number of awards presented in each study reflects total statewide enrolments, celebrating exceptional academic achievement across Victoria.


Campbell (Year 12)
Australian History (Teacher: Nick Hughes)
Extended Investigation (Perfect Score) (Teacher: Monique Dalli)
Campbell completed both Australian History Units 3&4 and Extended Investigation Units 3&4 as a Year 11 student. He serves as Student Leader – Secretary & Community Relations and has been awarded Colours in multiple domains of the College, including Debating.


Jiahang (Lucas) Yao (OX 2025)
English (Perfect Score) (Teacher: Mel Antoniuk)
In addition to achieving outstanding academic results across his studies and being named one of the College Duces for 2025, Lucas received the Jesuit Community Award and College Colours for Academic Achievement, Debating and Music.


Shing Chun (Johnson) Ng (Year 12)
Music Repertoire Performance (Perfect Score) (Teacher: Richard O'Shaughnessy)
Johnson started Xavier in Grade 5, and has been a longstanding part of the Music program, specialising in Piano and French Horn. He has received colours in Music, and Academics, being awarded a VCE awards in Year 11 for a Class Prize in Mathematical Methods and Study Dux for Biology Units 1&2.


Thomas Nunan (OX 2025)
Texts and Traditions (Perfect Score) (Teacher: Bernie Brysha)
Tom served as Prefect for Academics in 2025. He also received the Jesuit Community Award, the Eldon J. Hogan Prize for Public Speaking, and was recognised as a Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholar.


Congratulations to Campbell, Lucas, Johnson and Tom on this outstanding achievement. We also congratulate their teachers, whose guidance and dedication have helped these students achieve at the highest level.
