Every student of Xavier College upon leaving school automatically becomes a Life Member of the Old Xaverians' Association (OXA).
The OXA embraces a wide range of sporting and cultural interests and plays an important and active role in the Xavier Community by providing assistance in the needs of the College and its students.
Through its amateur sporting club affiliates, the OXA has earned a reputation as a major force in Australian Rules football, cricket, athletics, hockey and soccer. Many of the OXA affiliates also have significant female membership.
The OXA is an extension of school life in that it allows past students to maintain contact with each other through the many functions held during the year. These include reunions, networking events, Masses, lectures and social sporting events.
The Education and Welfare Fund was established to assist students whose families have suffered distress and financial difficulties. The OXA also works with the Careers and Guidance Counsellor at the College to provide assistance to current and past students through career and employment opportunities. The OXA annually provides a Boarding Scholarship, as well as other annual academic prizes and bursaries.
For all enquiries about the OXA, please contact the Executive Officer of the Old Xaverians' Association on (03) 9854 5340 or via email at davina.m.calhaem@xavier.vic.edu.au.
