Works are progressing at a good pace on site, taking good advantage of the dry weather Melbourne has had over the past two weeks. In that time there have been in excess of 500 truck movements in and out of the site, having now removed all the grass and topsoil from the Oval.
In the top photo above, you can see the last remaining topsoil leaving site before excavation of the natural material. We are happy to confirm there have been no incidents and wish to thank everyone for their continued understanding as works progress. There are still many truck loads to go.
The second photo shows earthworks preparation for the next key activity to commence on site. During next week the piling rigs are about to mobilise and start drilling some 309 piles required as part of the development retention system.
We thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we progress the redevelopment of the College.
